MGT 300 strategic initiatives for implementing competitive advantages

in this chapter i learn about how organizations understand their customers....
this is interesting chapter because to me it help me to know how a business or organizations to produce a product that customers want and needs. when miss salina teach me about this chapter to was blur and for me at that time it hard to me to understand it because all the point are relate. if i don't understand the first point i will loss...
but when miss salina try to explain it a little more detail then i can see want are the important point for this chapter...
after i learn this chapter i wonder that's why many organizations are able to produce a product that customer want even not all of the product that they produce are perfect at least there still have customer that can accept the product and buy it.

BERJIMAT LAH.....

assalamualaikum...
hmm alhamdulillah akhirnya ada jgk topik yang ak nk share kat blog nie.. huhuhu
haaa... nie ak nk ckp sikit yela alhamdulillah skrg nie ak dah masuk ke universiti.. syukur sngt berkat doa ibu dan bape ak dan juga dngn takdir Allah ak selamat berada di sini dan skrg nie ak berada di semester 5...
segala perjlanan ak dari semester 1 hingga 4 tuu... semua nya ak dpt lalui dgn baik walaupun perangai malas nie ada jgk tp ak still boleh mengatasi nya.
benda yg ak nk share nie yela bila kita dh msuk universiti nie bnyk la duit nk kena pakai kan maklum la mcm2 nk di belinya kan huhuhu dan x semua org yg masuk ke universiti nie dari org yg senang majoriti nya dari org2 yg sederhana..
kerajaan sedar tntng masalah nie jd mereka menubuh kan Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional atau kita biasa dngr PTPTN...
ptptn di tubuhkan bg meringan kan beban golongan yg  ibu bapa yg berpndapatan sederhana dan ke bwh.. bg ak ianya x jd masalah asalkan ianya dpt membntu org selain itu ptptn jgk dpt memberikan harapan kpd org2 susah utk melanjutkan pelajaran ke menara gading. dgn duit yg di berikan tu dpt jgk la mmbntu bdk2 yg msk universiti nie..
Masalah yg ak nmpk nie... haa nie yg nk dikhabarkan nie yela maklumlah yg msk universiti nie kan org2 muda, remajakan jd susah bg dorg nie nk berjimat. duit yg diberi tu utk kegunaan dorg semasa belajar tp rata2 yg ak tngk dorg guna duit tu utk enjoy la,shopping la,haii.. mcm2 la bila dh abiz duit tu mula la nk dok pinjam kat org itu pon klu org nk bg klu x haaa kan dh kena ikt perut x de duit nk mkn.. x kan nk mntk duit kat parent kan nnti dorg tnya mana duit ptptn tu jenuh nk jwb nnti
pokok nya kat sini la sebagai student universiti nie kita kena la pndai la nk urusankan kewangan kita  nie...
bnde2 nie pntng sbb dpt melatih diri kita mnjadi org yg berjmat cermat malah dpt mendisiplin kan diri...
jadi harap2 kita boleh menjadi insan yg cemerlang di dunia dan di akhirat insyaallah... :)
berjimat la sblm kita x de duit .....

The World Now

emmm...... pejam celik pejam celik rasanya aku nie dh masuk umur 20 tahun, tak lama lagi ak dh bleh mengundi. adoi hai pening skrg nie bkn apa ak nie bukan la reti nk berpolitik atau cerita bnde pasal politik nie tp apa yg ak nmpak skrg nie ak masih blum tahu parti apa yg akan ak undi nnti...
hahaha... masih terlalu awal untuk fkrkan nya kan tp ak rasa ak dh patut fkrkan..
haaaa apa yg ak nk ckp kali nie Dunia Skrg dah lain org berpolitik nie bkn nya mcm dlu yela org skrg nie hanya nk kan kuasa semata-mata bkn nya nk perjuangkan bngsa atau negara tetapi nk bergaduh antara satu sama lain utk dpt kuasa tu..
enth la ak pon x fhm tp itu la apa yg ak fhm dn ak tngk skrg nie.
ak sendiri pon x nmpk sape yg btl dn siapa yg slh. ada plak sesetngh org ckp politik nie kotor, terpulang la pada siapa yg menilai nya kan...
pada pndpt ak mereka sptutnya menunjuk kan bnde yg baik2 jgn la hnya kerana nk kan nama bergaduh sana sini..
tngk jela kat Berita tv3 tu hari2 ada je cerita psl politik.....
ak cuma harap bila tiba masanya nnti utk ak mengundi ak akan buat pilihan yg btl..
ok la nie saja yg ak nk ckp kali nie marilah kita sama2 berdoa agar NEGARA kita sentiasa berada di bwh pimpinan yg adil dan aman sentiasa

Today, I will discuss about chapter 2..This chapter tell us how to operate an organization and what is the barriers when enter to the market..
First, Organization must create a competitive advantages in order to survive and thrive the organization..What is the mean of competitive advantages??COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES is a product or services that an organization's customers place a greater value on that similar offerings..Eg: Air Asia offer tickets with a low price..
When organization significantly impact its market share by being first to market with a competitive advantages, they actually be a FIRST MOVER ADVANTAGES..Its only for temporary..Organization watch their competition through Environmental Scanning..ENVIRONMENTAL SCANNING is analysis of events and trends in the environment external to an organization..This process is more important to achieve a competitive advantages..
How organization can develop a competitive advantages by used 3 common tools which is :-


  • PORTER'S FIVE FORCES MODEL - It means the relative attractiveness of an industry..
      • Buyer Power - by analyzing the ability of buyers directly impact the price..
    • Switching Cost - cost that make customer reluctant to switch to another product or services.
    • Loyalty Program - rewards customer based on the amount of business..


      • Supplier Power - the suppliers ability to directly impact the price they are charging for supplies..
      • Threat of Substitute Products or Services - 
    • High (when there are many alternatives)
    • Low (when there are few alternatives)


      • Threat of New Entrants - 
    • High (when easy for new competitors to enter a market)
    • Low (when they are barriers to entering a market)


      • Rivalry Among Existing Competitors -
    • High (when competition is fierce)
    • Low (when competition is more complacent)

We can produce a product based on this strategies:-

  • PORTER'SS THREE GENERIC STRATEGIES - Typically follow one of Porter's three generic strategies when entering a new market..Including 3 which is :
    • Cost Leadership
    • Differentiation
    • Focused Strategy


  • VALUE CHAIN - views organization as a series of processes,each of which adds value to the product for each customer.
